 The Dovo EDO is a 5/8" fully hollow ground carbon steel straight razor weighing approximately seventy-one grams. This new creation is a devotion of sorts to traditional Japanese bladesmithing, and features a handle from spruce wood which has carefully been treated in a complicated process to increase density, hardness, and resistance to soap/water. It is inert, durable, and beautiful. The EDO's spine is unlike any other DOVO razor made, and the concave region of the hollow grind extends from the razor back wholly to the cutting edge. This is the flagship model among Dovo 5/8" razors today, and the first all-new forging beyond the Barbarossa models. While all razors are whetted and stropped at the Solingen factory and Dovo-Stahlwaren certifies each razor as ready to shave via several quality control checks, Dovo has authorized The Superior Shave to further hone your razor post-factory (to so-called 'Shave Ready' status).
